Representing the County in civil and constitutional cases. Conducting ADR, arbitration, and community mediation.
Drafting Bills, subsidiary legislation, and county appointments. Attending passage of Bills in the County Assembly.
Advising on contracts, MOUs and PPPs. Conveyancing and representation of the County on boards.
Research and independent legal opinions on policy, legislation and governance for all departments.
Departmental operations, capacity building, records, finance, HR and internal audit oversight.
Conducting public prosecutions and enforcement of county laws in liaison with the DPP and NPS.
Pro bono legal aid, public participation facilitation, family mediation, and citizen sensitization.
Reviewing county policies for legal compliance. Annual trainings and governance gap analysis.
Established under Article 183 of the Constitution of Kenya (2010) and the County Governments Act, 2012, the Office of the County Attorney serves as principal legal adviser to the County Government of Kilifi.
